The sight of the rain soaked bridge through the grunge in the window glass of a local bus had a mystical vintage feel. It instantly pulled me back to 1943 , when this monumental landmark of Kolkata city was first opened for general people. It is counted among the busiest cantilever bridge across the globe. I was crossing the Howrah bridge just as I do it everyday and thanked myself for not missing this shot despite the chaotic hustle and bustle inside the public transport.
