    Reported by:

Coyote crossing the Lamar river in Yellowstone with his beaver carcass. Even though I was quite a bit away from him and his mate, he did not want to share his prize with me and crossed the river to prevent me from reaching him. I thought that was rather thoughtful on his part because he actually did not put more distance between us. He settled just across the river which was not farther from he was initially. He was right that I would not cross the freezing river myself. I felt he knew that.

Not an easy image to grab at all or to be prepared for. You're using a very long lens here so you have to pick your spots wisely and be ready to capture this moment. Nice work on just being ready, Hisham. Thank you for adding the caption info that you did as it let me envision how this photograph came to life.
