A father and son contemplate a tumble or slide down one of the tallest dunes at the Mesquite Flat Dunes in Death Valley California. The US National Parks just celebrated their 100 year anniversary in 2016 and from what I can tell they are more popular than ever. Droves of people toured through Death Valley sometimes crowding some of the most popular spots such as these dunes. In order to find some of the most pristine and untouched sand one had to walk for miles as this father/son pair did.
