Every year in the springtime, Canberra holds its Floriade Festival, with numerous displays of flowers, mostly tulips. There is also entertainment by street entertainers. One of the best I have seen is a couple who, quite brilliantly, portrayed living statues of Walter Burley Griffin, the architect who produced the original design for the city of Canberra, and his wife. A young visitor has become entranced by the man portraying Walter Burley Griffin.
