As these black skimmers were feeding, they were continually interrupted by children and other tourists. Black skimmers need to eat a lot in a day to stay moving and fueled, but if we as humans continue to disrupt their feeding patterns, we will see another decline in a bird population. They have adapted well to our shenanigans, but how much do they have to adapt before we see that we are the ones who need to change.
