    This is a close-up HDR photo of patterns in the ice formed in a shallow channel beside the river. The bracketed exposures were merged using the Painterly 3 preset in Photomatix which brings out subtle nuances of colour in the ice. I find the natural artistry found in ice to be just amazing.
