I had a moving experience watching the ladies and young girls huddling at the Kotel in the womens section. Some clutched prayer books, others looked upwards with tears rolling down their faces, most reverentially touched it. I saw hundreds of written prayers squeezed inside the cracks. I kept my head covered as I moved backwards away from the Western Wall, keeping a firm grip on my Nikon D-SLR.
