Edit Photo Details Earthquake Response Reminder   #abstract #macro #earthquake #asphalt_playground
One of our local elementary schools was closed in 2005 due to a sweeping Portland district reorganization proposal. The doors of the school are locked, yet the playground and fields are constantly in use by people in the neighborhood. During walks around the property I observed this stenciled character on the cracked surface of the playground. What was once encouragement for small children to move, now seemed a reminder of what to do in case of an earthquake.
