The real meaning of commitment
After a long day on the water night was closing in we were confronted by a gorge blocked off by an un-runnable rapid. Teamwork brought us around this and presented us with what might just be the most beautiful place that I have ever been. With steep sides, thick jungle, and no paths, this is one of the most committing expeditions i have been on.
This is the river Umngi nestled in the heart of Meghalaya, an Indian state in the north east of the country.
