Planning to snow camp at Crater Lake National Park can sometimes be very difficult. The weather changes quickly. After monitoring the forecast, we ventured out in late January [2017]. The day/evening hour was terrible weather, extremely disappointing. After a night of searching for stars, the morning sky was set on fire. Every angle was breathtaking. The manner in which we saw Crater Lake on this morning will not be matched-- ever.
