    Georgetown, Malaysia, is by far the best UNESCO World Heritage Site I have visited due to the uncommon balance it maintains between having tourist infrastructure and fostering a local population who still make a living with food carts, old-fashioned printing presses, tailoring saris, and driving pedicabs. I actually saw more locals riding around in pedicabs in Georgetown than I did tourists, though on this stifiling afternoon, most everyone was inside relaxing after a nice lunch.
