A beautiful crested barbet shares a scene with a tab end discarded by a smoking safari goer in the Kruger National Park. I'm amazed at our species. For all our intelligence we seem to enjoy making a mess of things. Either at the large scale, such as wars or climate change, or here, where a thoughtless smoker has discarded a tab end. I assume the person that threw this away has some affinity with the natural world, and the areas set aside to protect it, and simply discarded this unthinkingly.
