    This is a memorial of for the fallen Marines and other soldiers that had fallen when we were taking over. The Navajo Code Talkers actually helped us win this battle (Iwo Jima), and without them, we might not have won the battle. Major Howard Conner, 5th Marine Division signal officer, actually said: "Were if not for the Navajos, the Marines would've never taken Iwo Jima."
