A figure skater at a recent local figure skating show performing a pancake spin. This belongs in the Gift of Life assignment because it combines photography and figure skating, two of my life's passions. Photography is an art that fits my 'sit back and observe' personality perfectly and making the most of it makes me see the world differently. I'm also thankful that as a middle aged man I still have the ability and health not just to watch great figure skating, but be a figure skater myself.

Nice Mike, thank you for your thoughtful caption. I care about this photo so much more knowing that you are a figure skater yourself and that this represents so much joy in your life. Thank you for sharing.
