The thrill of adventure can be experienced in many ways. What one person describes as adventure can be another person’s form of relaxation. But adventure is always personal, always exciting, and most of all, it’s fun! With this Your Shot assignment, I hope you had fun creating images that illustrated your preferred forms of adventure. I sure feel like it’s been an adventure watching your submissions arrive. They are all unique and individual to the character of each and every one of you. So, well done in making the portfolio so varied and so great to review!
Many of your submissions were of experiences I’m particularly very fond of and can personally relate to, such as caves, mountains, and climbing. But some of the submissions were new to me, opening my eyes to what adventure means to you in a different form. One aspect that I particularly enjoyed seeing is pictures of children playing. A child’s life is a constant adventure, both for them and for the parent trying to protect them from the many dangers that life can throw at them as they grow and learn.
I really enjoyed seeing all of your photographs, many of which have been very creative indeed. So well done. The new year offers a chance to experience great adventures and new challenges. Be brave, good luck to you, and have a great, adventure-filled 2018!
